Photo Booths Popular At Some Weddings

Attend almost any wedding reception and you will find either a live band or a DJ playing music. A recent trend, however, has couples in Ohio opting for non-musical entertainment for their receptions. In an article in the Columbus Monthly, it states that one of the more popular alternatives making an appearance at wedding receptions around the state of Ohio are photo booths. Chad Zwayer, owner of the Columbus Photo Booth Co, says that a photo booth is a great ice breaker with guests in pairs or groups of up to twenty taking part. That kind of fun tends to be infectious, too!

In order to keep it interesting, Zwayer says they are adding new features to the booths each year. One option available for receptions and other events is that of a slideshow projector. Pictures can be displayed on a big screen in real time and can display photos randomly throughout the reception.

Other popular reception options include games such as Mad Libs, have a caricature artist on hand, or have guests can put together a talent show or other entertainments to make any reception truly unique.

Lori Fiske, customer relations manager at the Columbus Athenaeum says that some couples have made real creative efforts for their receptions by having their guests read poems from the opera boxes of both the small and large theaters.
